Buyers will have a choice of two engines for the 2026 Explorer. The standard 2.3-L EcoBoost delivers 300 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, while upper-tier models use a 3.0-L EcoBoost V-6 rated at 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque.
Towing Capacity
No matter which powertrain is selected, the 2026 Explorer can tow up to 2,267 kg (5,000 lbs.), provided the vehicle is equipped with the necessary towing hardware.
